providing help and support in the community
As the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic tightens its grip across the world, the Aalberts family is uniting to provide assistance wherever and whenever possible. We are proud to share some recent initiatives taken across the company.
donating to the Red Cross
Mogema, part of Aalberts advanced mechatronics, recently collected, packed and prepared 600 disposable cleanroom suits which they donated to the Red Cross. The suits will be used by caregivers to provide safer care to those most affected by the coronavirus. They worked with their regular transport partner, who collected and delivered the suits free of charge.
contributing protective clothing to a local hospital
In France, the Metalis Group, part of Aalberts specialised manufacturing donated a range of protective clothing to a local hospital and caregiver, including protective glasses, over 600 pairs of gloves, 100 shirts, 3,000 cups, 600 overshoes and 600 head covers. The equipment will be used by healthcare workers in their fight against COVID-19.
on call 24/7
With many countries in lockdown, maintaining properly functioning heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in buildings is critical. Flamco, part of Aalberts hydronic flow control provides a range of HVAC systems to customers across the Benelux, including hospitals and nursing homes. The company recently solved an urgent repair issue at the Erasmus MC hospital in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, replacing a broken solenoid valve. The engineer also made a preventative valve replacement during the same visit. Flamco's four engineers in the Benelux, as well as its engineers elsewhere in Europe, remain on standby to offer assistance 24/7.
We continue to see many examples of taking ownership and helping across the group, which we are delighted to hear about.
