Aalberts' first supplier engagement day for the building segment

This week, we hosted our first Supplier engagement day for the building segment; an important milestone that brought together our teams and strategic suppliers to strengthen collaboration and shape the future of our supply base. The day created a powerful platform to align ambitions, share insights and accelerate joint value creation across the chain.

In realising our 'thrive 2030' strategy, we are strengthening collaboration with our strategic suppliers and transforming procurement into a value‑driven discipline. Our shared ambition was clear: to engage with our supply base as ONE Aalberts, shifting from traditional purchasing to value sourcing, with a strong focus on quality, logistics, technology, total cost and sustainability. This approach reflects how we work and collaborate through the Aalberts way.

Throughout the day, interactive breakout sessions helped translate ambition into action. Cross‑functional teams explored opportunities to improve performance, strengthen partnerships and address shared challenges. Creating a solid foundation for future collaboration. The discussions highlighted the importance of transparency, joint problem‑solving and continuous improvement in building a resilient, future‑ready supply chain.

Sustainability played a central role. Dedicated sessions reinforced the urgency of working together across the value chain to meet our environmental ambitions and support responsible growth. The dialogue underscored that progress in sustainability requires aligned priorities, shared accountability and long‑term commitment from all partners.

A highlight of the day was the introduction of our new Supplier Award Programme, recognising outstanding partners for their excellence, reliability and contribution to our shared success.
