highlights

  • acquisition PHT Plasma-Härtetechnik GmbH (Germany)
  • wide range of modern heat treatment processes
  • 60 employees, annual revenue approximately EUR 9 million

Aalberts Industries N.V., a company active in the industrial services and flow control systems sectors, has taken over PHT Plasma-Härtetechnik GmbH in Germany. PHT has a turnover of approximately EUR 9 million and over 60 employees.

PHT is located in a new service centre near Strasbourg, and has a wide range of modern heat treatment processes in-house.

The takeover of PHT marks the further expansion of the Aalberts Industries network into an important regional market. Because of its strategic location on the German/French border, PHT will also form the link between Aalberts Industries' networks of service centres in France and Germany.

Aalberts Industries' activities in France will benefit significantly from the know-how and capacity that PHT offers, which will enable it to service the north-eastern French market in particular much more effectively.

The takeover is being financed from the company's own resources. PHT's figures will be included in the consolidated results as from 1 January 2002. This takeover will contribute towards the increase in the profit per share in 2002.
