Aalberts Industries N.V. has reached an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of DEC SA, a surface treatment provider established in Cormenon, France.

DEC (Dépôts Electrolytiques et Chimiques) delivers a wide range of surface treatment technologies to the French market, such as  anodizing, chemical nickel plating, passivation of stainless steel, etc. These services are provided to different markets, including aerospace, automotive and precision engineering. With an annual revenue of around EUR 9 million and approximately 100 employees, DEC is operating at one facility in Cormenon. The existing management will continue to lead the company.

With the acquisition of DEC the existing French network of surface treatment companies (SGI near Paris and AHC-Surface Technology in Faulquemont) will be expanded. The acquisition will be consolidated as of 1 August 2011 and will directly contribute to the profit per share. The acquisition will be financed from existing credit facilities.
