Aalberts announces chief marketing & digital officer and chief strategy officer
Aalberts announces the appointment of Mattijs Planken as the new Chief Marketing & Digital Officer and Moncef Tanfour as the new Chief Strategy Officer. They will start on 1 January 2025 and will be part of the Executive Team.
Mattijs Planken joined Aalberts in 2009 and is Director strategy, marketing and corporate development since 2021. Mattijs has spearheaded multiple new initiatives to drive Aalberts forward and has been pivotal to lead the deployment of the Aalberts brand and Aalberts values across the company. Recently, he led the strategic process that defined our Thrive 2030 ambitions, as presented during our Capital Markets Day.
As our first company Chief Marketing & Digital Officer, Mattijs will continue to play a key role in the next growth and development phase of Aalberts, where we want to accelerate profitable growth and leadership positions. He will lead our corporate communications, ensure Aalberts corporate brand deployment and lead global marketing initiatives across our 3 business segments to support accelerated growth in our attractive end markets.
Mattijs will also lead our Digital Transformation. By aligning strategic marketing with innovation, technology, and corporate development, Aalberts can set itself apart as a leader in not just branding, but also in forward-thinking, fully digitised business practices.
Moncef Tanfour brings broad international experience from global companies such as Grundfos, Sulzer, and Alstom. He has been leading strategic growth initiatives and transformations through M&A and divestments, forging strong partnerships and working with executive leaders.
With a passion for sustainability, he is a dedicated people developer who excels at engaging diverse stakeholders, building high-performing diverse teams, navigating different cultural and organisational contexts, and steering businesses for success.
As our first company Chief Strategy Officer, Moncef will play a key role in the deployment of our Thrive 2030 strategy. Moncef will oversee our company-wide strategic planning process, and lead our portfolio optimisation process with M&A and divestments efforts positioning Aalberts for long term growth and value creation. Moncef will also drive post-merger integration excellence to further improve our M&A playbook.
