We are pleased to announce that we have joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) initiative - a voluntary commitment to advancing responsible business practices globally. By embracing this initiative, Aalberts proudly joins a group of companies worldwide that are dedicated to creating a sustainable future for all.
The UN Global Compact is a powerful call to action for companies around the world to align their strategies and operations with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, while also supporting the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
At Aalberts we have long integrated sustainability and corporate responsibility into the core of our operations. Under our 'thrive 2030' strategy, we see great potential in leveraging our innovations in energy efficiency, hygienic distribution of water, lifetime extension of materials and sustainable manufacturing practices, directly contributing to SDG 6, 7, 9, 12. Our participation in the UN Global Compact strengthens our commitment to driving positive change and aligning our actions with global efforts to achieve the SDGs.
Joining this initiative is an opportunity to accelerate our transition to a more sustainable business model by collaborating with peers and other companies. By sharing knowledge and best practices, we can not only further improve our own operations but also help accelerate the broader industry's transition. Additionally, participation in the UN Global Compact provides us with access to valuable industry knowledge, enabling us to gain new insights and refine our strategies.
“In line with our commitment to these principles, Aalberts is proud to continue our mission of engineering mission-critical technologies enabling a clean, smart and responsible future. We see sustainability as a growth driver supporting our customers in their sustainability journey” said Anne-Lize van Dusseldorp director sustainable entrepreneurship. We are excited to embark on this journey with the UN Global Compact and continue our work towards a more sustainable future for all.
