"We're located in the APAC region, where we have R&D facilities and factories in Taiwan and China, but our customers are located around the globe, including the United States, South America, Europe, and Middle East." says Holden Chen​, chief executive officer APAC at Aalberts integrated piping systems. "We provide specialised grooved technology for piping systems, and our customers demand products that are fail-safe and resilient. They work on major projects such as underground tunnels, and have different piping requirements—from heavy-duty pipes that can remove slurry, to fire and utility pipes."

With only one major competitor in our market area, we are truly a niche player, Holden says. "Basically, using our grooved technology, which joins pipes together, means customers don't need to worry about welding process. After grooves are made in the surface of the pipe, we install our coupling product which are then tightened by bolts and nuts. Not only can they be used on carbon steel pipes, copper pipes, or stainless-steel pipes, they can be used in many mission-critical verticals—from tunnels or mines, water work or office buildings for fire or HVAC applications. Our goal is to aggressively grow our business, through innovation, vertical-based go-to-market approach and great service. We provide customers with a swift, professional before and after sales service and want to become a leader in our area."

Alongside our proven product range, our unique characteristics also give us an edge, Holden says. "We are nimble, and our teamwork is tremendous. We take care of customers' needs right along the supply chain, and go the extra mile to make sure the work is completed perfectly. One great example is a recent project we worked on for a customer in the United States, who required a reliable Ring Joint system in 16 inch-diameter underground tunnel. We provided the Ring Joint that enables higher pressures to run through the pipes without the need to upsize the wall thickness of the pipe, and it was great cooperation between our teams in Taiwan, the pipe mill in Korea and the end customer in the US that ensured we could deliver to an extremely tight timeline.
