In 1975, Jan Aalberts founded Mifa, his very first company. What began with Mifa in Venlo grew into a global group active in more than 50 countries today. The entrepreneurial spirit, craftsmanship and dedication to progress that defined Mifa in those early days became the foundation of the entire Aalberts philosophy.

For half a century, Mifa has been shaping the future of precision extrusion and has developed to become a specialist in aluminium extrusion profiles. Serving aerospace, mobility, defence and various industrial customers, Mifa is turning ambitious ideas into reality, just as it did in its earliest days.

On 22 November, Mifa proudly hosted its 50-years anniversary celebration at its facility in Venlo, bringing together employees, partners and stakeholders to reflect on this shared journey. Under the theme “The making of dreams”, the event offered visitors a unique behind-the-scenes look at the high-tech production environment where Mifa's renowned precision solutions take shape. Guided tours highlighted the craftsmanship and technological expertise that have distinguished Mifa since 1975. The celebration was made even more special by the presence of Jan Aalberts, the founder, who joined in marking this milestone.

The afternoon concluded with a networking reception where colleagues, partners and long-time collaborators shared stories, memories and visions for the future. It was a moment to acknowledge the dedication of the people who built Mifa, and who continue to drive the company forward today.

"It is a proud moment for all of us at Aalberts to celebrate 50 years of innovation and excellence." says Stéphane Simonetta, CEO Aalberts N.V.. "Mifa was where it all began, and seeing the company and our entire group thrive over the past five decades is truly inspiring. We are grateful to our employees, partners and customers who have made this journey possible, and we look forward to continuing to engineer technologies that create a clean, smart and responsible future."

This anniversary year is also a symbolic moment for Aalberts as a whole. We remain deeply proud of the values that were set 50 years ago: our can-do mentality, our focus on innovation, and the trust we maintain with our customers and partners across the world. These values have guided us through five decades of growth and they will continue to shape the next 50 years.
