As a strategy and M&A business partner at Aalberts, you will report to the chief strategy officer and primarily work with a dedicated division to advance our Thrive 2030 ambitions. You will develop and deploy growth strategies, cultivate M&A opportunities, forge relationships with targets, lead commercial due diligence, drive business case development, and support post-merger integration planning and implementation.

key responsibilities

• act as a business partner and a trusted advisor to the division in deploying “thrive 2030” ambitions, including articulation and execution of inorganic growth strategies
• drive M&A pipeline development, build relationships with targets, and cultivate network of relevant external advisors and partners
• develop acquisition rationale and business case in conjunction with divisional leadership
• oversee commercial due diligence on behalf of the division and collaborate with other functional workstreams
• orchestrate post-merger integration planning and implementation in collaboration with the division and relevant functions
• lead the elaboration of decision material for strategic reviews with senior stakeholders
• proactively engage with peers to foster excellence in corporate development processes and enable best practice sharing and capability building

requirements

• Master’s degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or similar
• 5-10 years of experience in strategy, M&A, or corporate development, preferably in an industry, investment banking, or consulting
• strong interest in the industrial goods sector and end-markets relevant to Aalberts
• proven track record of working with senior leaders in an international setting
• demonstrated ability to lead multiple high-impact projects simultaneously
