Aalberts hydronic flow control is taking heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems into the digital age with the Flamconnect, a digital portal that lets the company monitor the status of heating and cooling systems online. As well as helping customers better maintain and operate their systems, the new platform will also lead to more sustainable buildings.
smart connections
The company believes in the smart connection of things, says Emiel Woestenberg, Aalberts hydronic flow control's director digital products and connectivity. And it’s this belief that is driving the use of data and development of digital platforms. “We believe the future of heating and cooling lies in the connection between hardware and digital services. The dependability of a climate system no longer relies solely on the best performing hardware: you also need to generate the right tools and information through digital platforms, which is what Flamconnect achieves,” he explains.
By connecting the hardware and letting the data tell the story of heating and cooling, customers are better able to monitor their systems and intervene before problems become disruptive. “Our goal is to use smarter connections to continually improve our customer offerings,” Emiel says. “We are passionate about pushing boundaries and thinking outside the box, and Flamconnect is a great example of this mindset.”
