Water is an undervalued resource the world over, so ensuring that it is distributed safely, sustainably, and efficiently is vital if countries want to safeguard their long-term water security. Henco's focus is on providing clean water solutions that offer market-leading sanitary qualities and contribute to efficient water use and water savings. This is why we have developed multilayer pipes and synthetic PVDF fittings, which are arguably the most hygienic piping system for (drinking) water on the market today.

Our solutions provide clean water and sanitation for millions of households worldwide, and focus on efficient water use and water savings. Our multilayer pipes consist of cross-linked or reinforced polyethylene (PE) with an aluminium core. Cross-linking leads to a reinforced structure that makes the PE pipe resistant to high pressures and temperatures. And because no chemicals are used to cross-link this type of PE, it requires no post-rinsing and there is no risk that it will give off an odour when the tap is opened.

But a high-quality piping system is more than just the most hygienic pipes. It also needs fittings. Fittings that meet the strictest hygiene requirements and are simultaneously resistant to high pressures and temperatures. A material that has all these properties is the plastic PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride). PVDF is a high-performance polymer that is used when purity, strength and flexibility are needed. And the plastic has the added benefit of having a high chemical resistance: soft or hard water, PVDF can handle anything and is immune to corrosion.
